What to do on New Years Day 2014?? When your over fifty?

Unsure, and tired of doing the same old thing for New Years?

Here are some great ideas to help add some spark to your New Years:

1. Be with someone. Do not be alone. Make it your mission to go out or be with someone this New Years. Who? Well- ask around, and find someone to spend it with.

2. Bring yourself back to youth by acting like you are a youth. Don’t go to times square- because it’s packed- but the tradition of kissing someone right on New Years, and making those resolutions are fun.

Great Over 50’s communication ONLINE

I was a bit apprehensive to try anything new, but over the holiday weekend, I decided to take a stab a site buzz50.com, and was pleasantly surprised.
Although I was new, and did not have many friends, I found it to be welcoming, and entertaining- but in a positive way. The communication between the users was clean, and welcoming. That was key for me. No vulgarity, no annoyances, and pure conversation. The moderator, who I met while chatting online was kind, and understanding. I appreciated the non-vulgarity and ability to be able to chat among others my age. I gave it two thumbs up! They were or are still testing, but I have to hand it to them for really keeping it clean! That is something I appreciated! I would recommend chatting, with others over 50. It was a great experience! Buzz it around:)

Should you say Merry Christmas if you do not celebrate the holiday?

Answer: Yes! Why not?
It is so much fun to say, and it just goes with the positive holiday feeling.
I said it to a friend who only celebrate the Chinese New Year, and although he laughed, he did respond, and it did feel great to just say.

No reason to keep yourself out of the loop.
Merry Christmas is fine- no mater what religion you practice, it is just about the feeling. The positive feeling.

Should you watch the WOLF OF WALL STREET?

Should you watch the WOLF OF WALL STREET?

The answer on whether to go ahead an watch this film is: Yes, yes and yes! Great film. It got all the emotions out of me. From laughter, to fear, to sadness- it’s a great film for a movie night or date night, PLUS it give you alot to talk about after.  Loved it, take your partner, and enjoy a LOONG night  out. Because did I mention the film is about 3 hours long!!!! THREE LOONG hours, but it was a great film. Do not want to spoil it- but I loved it! Great ending as well. So- buy your tickets, and go. Also I recommend watching it at a showing around 6pm- not 10pm because if you go at 10pm you will not be out until 1am. It’s a LONG film. Anyone else watch it? What did you think?

I guess this blog goes out to the gifter out there- who want to buy gifts for their parents, husbands, wives, grandparents or just friend that seem to have it all, which makes it tricky to find a gift?
