Music and Love Go Hand and Hand: LEGENDS IN THE 60’S at the 2014 GRAMMY’S

Legend’s of music made their presence at the 2014 56th Grammy Awards. Ringo Star, Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Mccartney, Madonna, and soo many more artist from 60’s 70’s and 80’s performed last night at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

My favorite part: The Beatles, Ringo and Paul performance. Together they performed a new song they wrote and their voices took the audience back to the 60’s. Amazing memories, and amazing rebirth of their raw talent.

In favor of POT SHOPS? Marijuana? I’m over 50, and honestly I don’t see why NOT??

In favor of POT SHOPS? Marijuana? I’m over 50, and honestly I don’t see why NOT??

Dear SitAlong Blog,

I have to admit when I was younger I did smoke the green leaf- or marijuana. It was the thing to do back then when you went to a concert. However, I never really was a dedicated smoker. I would just do it occasionally. But that was BACK in the day.Today, my friend Myra who lives in Connecticut,  actually smokes it for medicinal purposes, and to tell you the truth, although marijuana is legal there – I do not see the reason why it should be illegal. I think people use it when they need to relax, and it does have POSITIVE medicinal purposes.

A HUG OR A KISS: WHY HUGS ARE BETTER THAN KISSES?

A HUG OR A KISS: WHY HUGS ARE BETTER THAN KISSES?

Dear SitAlong Blog,

I am currently seeing someone and I do not know why, but after not being with someone for so long I have more of an urge to hug my partner, and have them hold me, as opposed to kissing him. I may hug him too much. :/ Is this odd? What do you think?

Olivia, 58 OH

Hi Olivia,

Well, the fact that you have been single for a while may be the reason why you need and want to be held more. You want a hug because you miss that cuddly non-sexual affection. Guess what? That is normal.

WHY VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER WORKS..at HOME?

WHY VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER WORKS..at HOME?

Valentine’s Day for couples over fifty feels more like an everyday affair as the years pass. Believe it or not, men and women who have partners love Valentine’s Day, but also have started hating it.

Dave is 59, and has been married for 30 years and writes:

Valentines day is a great day to show the person you love, HOW much you love them. However, I don’t feel obliged anymore to do something outragoius  for my partner. After the first 10 years of marraige, we both decided to make Valentine’s Day- a night in our home to ourselves. We make a dinner together, light some candles, exchange cards- and reminence on our lives together, and the best part there is no one around. The hype of going out to dinner, became a thing of the past, because  when we did go out, we realized there was too much noise, and we could not stand waiting for tables. So we made it our little tradition to put together our OWN dinner.

THE TRUTH UNVEILED: ***TOP10 REASONS MEN STAY AWAY FROM WOMEN IN THEIR 40’S***

THE TRUTH UNVEILED: ***TOP10 REASONS MEN STAY AWAY FROM WOMEN IN THEIR 40’S***

The truth is I am a woman in my fifties, and I am writing this with complete honesty. I can’t stand single women in their 40’s and I feel they need to change when it comes to dating.

Why? Well, their are plenty of reasons,  and I have listed them all below.

The truth is, what women in their 40’s don’t realize is that: YOU CAN’T expect TOO MUCH. You ( the 40 year old)  have a long list of WHAT you want, and what you need- but what you don’t realize is that YOU CAN’T be so picky, especially when your 43 AND SINGLE.

Why your never TOO old to Act Young? Why acting your age is BORING?

Why your never TOO old to Act Young? Why acting your age is BORING?

Hi SitAlong,

I constantly find myself doing the most bazaar, adolecent things. For example: I play in the park, and run in the snow. Have snow ball fights with my nephews, and overall it keeps me young. Once I finish playing, I usually get remarks from my brother, or sister saying “How old are you?”, “Act your age”, but what I have come to realize is that acting your age after 50, is BORING. People expect you to be boring, and quiet. Which is something I never was. Do you think I need to curb my playfullness, and act my age?

Can YOU SEE what I see?? Older Women Over 50 See Love and Dating Differently

Dear SitAlong,

I must say out of the clear blue sky, that being 55 years old, I see things more clearly now than I did when I was younger. In addition, I also must say that I see things very differently. Both men and women over 50 see everything differently. I see dating in a different light. I see being single in a different light, and ultimately, I believe singles should begin to SEE life the way  we do.

Public Displays of Affection: Why Men and Women Over Fifty get away with PDA?

Dear SitAlong Blog,

When people see two older people kissing it’s romantic. It’s beautiful. It’s something we want to see ourselves becoming. As a younger person, seeing older people publicly display their love for each other gives me hope. It makes me tingle, and it makes me smile.

Why is that when we see older people showing affection we smile, and when we see younger people showing affection we cringe?
