Why the YOUNGER generation should start listening to the OLDER generation? **3 REASONS WE ARE RIGHT WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE!**

Why the YOUNGER generation should start listening to the OLDER generation? **3 REASONS WE ARE RIGHT WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE!**

Dear Sit ALong Blog,

The younger generation can sometimes be stubborn, and unwilling to listen. Who are we to judge? However, when my daughter came over the other day, with some bad news on her relationship- the ONLY thing I wanted to say was “I told you so!” The matter of the fact is, I DID NOT feel good about being right. Why? Simply because I am older, and I know the pain it can bring someone to KNOW they are wrong, especially from a parent ( I was young too).

Are men looking at me? I’m over fifty??

Are men looking at me? I’m over fifty??

Dear Sit Along,

I am 57 years old, and thankfully I am in great shape, and healthy. However, I find a bit uncomfortable when men look at me. I have yet to accept the fact that I am single, and really do not want to believe that men are actually looking at me. Is there something wrong with that? Are they looking at me? My friends say that the men are “checking” me out. However, I am not used to this, and I get very shy. Could it really be that men are “checking” me out, even when I am over 50?

Why Letting Go of Something gets Harder when you get Older?

Why Letting Go of Something gets Harder when you get Older?

Dear Sit Along Blog,

Recently, I lost a valuable piece of jewelry my father had given me. He is no longer with us. I was young when he gave it to me, and it meant so much to me. It’s hard because I am always looking around to see if I can find it somewhere- but I can’t. It is eating away at me. I wish I never lost it. My friends say that I need to “let it go”, but I am finding it harder to “let go” now. Why? Please advise me! What should I do?

Do You Remember your First LOVE? : “I’m over 50, and still remember…”

Dear Sit Along Blog,

I’m over fifty and I still remember my first love. Sometimes, I find it weird that I am able to remember so much, but is it odd? I can remember him so clearly sometimes,  and time has passed, and so has he, however every now and then I catch myself thinking about him-is that odd? What does that mean?

Why Women Over Fifty are going Online to Meet Men in 2014?

Why Women Over Fifty are going Online to Meet Men in 2014?

Dear SitAlong,

I have tried it all, but I think I realized this past year, that being alone is NOT good. I know the site is set to launch soon- and I am excited but I must say something. Me and my girlfriends spent New Years together, and came to the consensus that Online Dating is the way to go. The way for us at least. We figured, it’s hard for us to get around, and our friends have no potential friends that are single- we are getting older, and the fastest way to meet someone in online. The fear we have is can we use it, and what will our children think? However, after much debate we realized that our kids are grown, and I am sure they want us to be happy. It’s odd how sometimes something so obvious, can be so difficult to unfold. I await the launch of SitAlong.com, and read you article in the paper!  Can’t wait! Best, Betsy,58, OH

I’m Over 50 & I was wondering… Is it OK to ask A MAN on A DATE?

Dear Sit Along Blog,

I am over fifty, and I’m writing because I want your honest opinion: Is it OK  to ask a guy on a date? This man is also over fifty, however I am a bit hesitant to make that first move. I would love to know what your thinking. Cold and shivering in New York!

I’m Retired,60 years old, and I want to find someone now.. IS IT TOO LATE??

I’m Retired,60 years old, and I want to find someone now.. IS IT TOO LATE??

Hi Sit Along,

I  am now retired. I have never been married. I have made my financial gain, and now at the age of 60 I am ready to date. Yes, some people may think I am crazy, or think I waited too long but I must say I agree- but I do not want to agree. So I write asking,  is it too late for me to find someone? My fear lies in my financial gain, and finding a women that will not take advantage of my finances. If it is not to late for me to find someone,  what do you recommend I do? How can I help other men and women out there who are thinking of doing the same?

New Year’s, New You?? : 5 WAYS TO REVAMP YOUR LOOK WHEN YOUR OVER 50 in 2014

Dear Sit Along Blog,

My name is Sarah, and I have been a librarian for over 20 years.  I was married, and I am now over fifty. I have also been single for about 5 years. I know that my age may be part of the reason I am afraid to test the waters, but the truth is- I think I need a NEW LOOK. It’s 2014, AND unfortunately, I do not have any sisters. My friends are married, and busy with their lives, and I need help! Please tell me what to do! I know I need to do something fast! I would appreciate any advice!
